Hey there! I’m Johnathan McKeen-Chaff; you can call me Johnny if you’re comfortable with that. I started Prepense Business Solutions in 2018, about one year after founding Center Ed (a music lessons business). I was going around to different marketers that wouldn’t talk to me (a 19-year-old kid); those who spoke to me didn’t take me seriously and wouldn’t offer me any affordable options. All they had to offer were solutions that came after a couple of steps that I needed to take. I needed a guide, so I dove headfirst into YouTube and purchased a ton of courses. I found mentors in the business world and figured it out.
As I was learning how to do this, I reckoned that plenty of other people were in the same boat that I was: with a great idea, making a little bit of money, on a mission to change the world in their context, without means to do so. I started with the tagline “helping small businesses compete in a big business world.” The verbiage has changed, but the heart hasn’t. Your best days are ahead of you, just as mine were then.
